How BIOPOWER works?

All petroleum-based liquid fuels contain great amounts of hydrocarbon. In order to convert these fuels into energy, combustion must take place. Combustion is a chemical process of rapid oxidation. The reaction between the hydrocarbon fuel molecules and oxygen produces heat. The result of complete combustion is water and carbon dioxide.

However, incomplete combustion produces carbon monoxide, unburned hydrocarbons, soot and tar. Small and light hydrocarbon molecules, like those found in gas and naptha, burn easily. But the large and heavy hydrocarbons in residual fuel are not easily burnt, and requires higher temperature achieve to complete combustion. Thermal cracking occurs in molecules when sufficient temperature is reached. This creates new components that are actively reactive and immediately seek to combine with oxygen atoms. The oxidation releases heat, leading to further thermal cracking, creating a chain reaction.

Components within BioPower Combustion Catalyst thermally crack at a considerably lower temperature (approximately 200 degree celsius) than hydrocarbon molecules. Therefore, the concentration of free radicals is increased at an early stage if ignition, resulting to improved and more intense combustion once the oxidation process begins. This produces increased temperature and a more complete combustion of fuel.
